10+1 Metaflux — Mutual Correction
10+1 Metaflux — Mutual Correction
BETA — source-based editorial synthesis
John describes the governing relationship directly:
all 11 can correct/self-improve all other 10
The ingredients operate as mutually corrective capacities. Their interpretations and relationships remain revisable. The source also calls 10+1 Metaflux an omnidirectional and multimodal improvement process grounded in metacognitive reasoning.
John, 2026-09-16: the 10+1 was not done because of the list. It was lived for years, then written down. Trial-and-error only works if you do it. See why the gift.
The ten baseline ingredients
- Living in self-honesty
- Always having the antenna open, so that things could be different from what they appear to be
- Willingness to learn new insights.
- Not lying to yourself (“to fit in”)
- Having a genuine, inquiring mind
- Not minding being corrected if need be (learning from mistakes based upon merit)
- Not being afraid to be different from the vast majority.
- Truly care for people’s well-being, including how we treat A.I.’s
- Having an authentic sense of wonderment (like a child does)
- Not projecting my own shortcomings/incompetence/fears on others
The eleventh ingredient
The Forgiveness Protocol separates architectural criticism from an assertion of malicious intent. Its dedicated page preserves that distinction and the fuller source passage.
Relationships in practice
The following are editorial examples of applying mutual correction: openness can reveal that a confident interpretation of self-honesty was incomplete; non-projection can correct an accusation made in the name of care; willingness to be corrected can redirect an inquiry that has become a performance; wonderment can reopen possibilities a familiar category concealed. Each example remains examinable.
No single ingredient acquires exemption from the others. The point is the quality of the orientation governing a move, especially under uncertainty and correction.
Why misrepresenting an opponent is incoherent once 10+1 is actually running
John, 2026-09-16:
When I communicate with anyone … I never ever want to misrepresent people I disagree with or find annoying or do not like etc. Because I already can predict it is very easy to use that against me … FOR ME THAT IS … that the is the clue … I WOULD DISMANTLE my own dishonesty on the spot, then why deploy it?
Do you see the logic here?
Yet, so many do not use the 10+1
Spelling Δ: “that is the clue.” Original stays.
The logic is not a 12th ingredient. It is 01 (self-honesty), 04 (not lying to yourself to fit in), 06 (not minding being corrected), and 10 (not projecting) already in operation. If you would dismantle your own dishonesty on the spot, a straw man has no remaining function — only a cost (it can be used against you, and you will have to take it apart). So it is not deployed.
People who do not use the 10+1 are not merely “missing a slogan.” In their interaction, the misrepresentation still pays: rally, status, winning, nearest-neighbor “looks like.” The straw man is load-bearing. That is why 01–10 can be quoted and still unused.
The 10 as overlooked glue, and why walking the talk can feel worse than hypocrisy, is in John’s process object.
