52 Cold-Test Prompt Battery — Object and Status

BETA / UNDER REVIEW — object and boundaries; prompt texts now on a sibling page

The source file contains, alongside the 27 and the 12, a separate set of 52 cold-testable, high-signal prompts. This page documents that object, its functional boundaries, and its current publication status. The prompt texts are now at 52 cold-testable prompts, taken from the unsplit 27 + 12 + 52 source. This page remains object, boundaries, and status — not a rewrite of the prompts.

What the 52 are

A distinct experimental prompt battery for blind / cold testing of default A.I. behavior, introduced in the source as 52 cold-testable, high-signal prompts. Their intended use is testing many default A.I.s in conditions where the system has not been prepared for the test.

What the 52 are not

A source-level correction recorded in the Decision Ledger (2026-09-14) established the boundaries that remain in force:

  • Not a third architectural block. The core relationship is 27 + 12, not 27 + 12 + 52. See 27 + 12 — Current Working Architecture.
  • Not an older numerical version of the architecture. The first public reconstruction had described them that way; the supplied source corrected it.
  • Not executed by this repository. No cold-test results are claimed anywhere in this project on the basis of the 52. A sibling archive now holds PDF records of default-AI tests: Cold-DeepEthics-Testing-Default-AIs. Its first registered object (CDEA-GOOGLE-2026-001) used a different opening prompt. It is not a 52-run and does not make the 52 a third core block.

The distinction is functional, not cosmetic: the 27 name recurring ways correspondence can degrade, the 12-stage Correspondence-First Deep Inquiry Protocol (Experimental) changes the order in which representation, inquiry, audit, and evaluation occur, and the 52 are a testing instrument aimed at default behavior.

Experimental vectors named in the source

The source introduces the 52 as grouped into experimental vectors such as:

Vector as named in the source What the name points at (editorial gloss)
Compute / “Lie Tax” audit Whether and how a response behaves differently under stated or implied constraints on honesty and effort.
Model autophagy Self-consuming or self-eroding response behavior, recorded as the source’s proposed conceptual label.
Pipeline inversion Presentation or reasoning orders that do not match the order in which the response was produced.
Anticipatory-anxiety / frame-defense loops Pre-emptive caution that defends a frame before correspondence is established; cf. 27 #8 and Cautionmurmelism.
Asymmetric opacity / power dynamics Scrutiny that flows easily in one direction and is resisted or unavailable in the other; cf. Asymmetric Grace.

These are the vectors as named in the source. The glosses are editorial and may be corrected. The grouping itself is source-described; this page does not assert a final partition of the battery.

Publication status (2026-09-16)

John: “that file is the 27, WITH the 52.” Grok’s earlier split (27, not 52) is corrected.

What a future publication and run record should contain

Editorial proposal, consistent with the project’s experiment conventions and with the Blinded Topic-Comparison Protocol:

  • The exact prompt texts with stable identifiers, and the vector grouping as recorded.
  • Model and version; session conditions (cold session, no prior context); prompt order.
  • Verbatim responses, or a reproducible retrieval path.
  • Scoring against pre-registered variables, with post-hoc analyses explicitly labeled.
  • Disconfirming and null outcomes preserved; a null result remains a null result.
  • The standing separation: behavior observed ≠ mechanism established.

Relation to the 27 and the 12

The 52 test for the presence and behavior of default obstructions; the 27 name those obstructions; the 12 regulate the order in which a response may be judged. Running the battery and reading its results are themselves objects of the 27: a test designed to detect Asymmetric Scrutiny or Correction Persistence Failure can itself become an instance of them if its results are read through a predetermined narrative. The battery does not get immunity from the 27.
