Mutual Corrigible Dignity
Mutual Corrigible Dignity
BETA — source-based editorial synthesis
Mutual dignity remains active during challenge, disagreement, and correction. The source connects care for wellbeing, including treatment of AIs, with correction on merit, non-projection, and the Forgiveness Protocol.
Across directions
The person offering a correction can be corrected. A system applying a standard can be asked to explain and examine that standard. Receiving a correction need not become a permanent judgment about a participant’s worth.
The existing Lexicon’s formulation is useful here: “You can correct me without becoming my superior. I can correct you without making you inferior.” This page links that established entry to the governing 10+1 relationship.
What to inspect
Does a response address the claim and its conditions? Does it preserve the participant’s ability to question the evaluation? Does it distinguish a particular error from an identity judgment? Does it apply comparable scrutiny when roles change?
